DBS - PARALYMPICS PARIS 2024
Produced in the lead-up to the Paris 2024 Paralympics, these two short documentary athlete portraits focused on para-triathlete Martin Schulz and the para-cycling duo Robert Förstemann / Thomas Ulbricht.
Each film explored their goals, ambitions, and challenges ahead of a major international tournament — combining authentic access, informative storytelling, and a close visual feel with the physical intensity of their disciplines.
At the centre of both portraits was the intention to show elite performance in para sport with honesty, energy, and respect: not defined by limitation, but by commitment, discipline, and extraordinary athletic effort.
The films aimed to create greater visibility and attention for para sport while staying close to the individuals behind the competition.
