BH39: FAITH OVER FEAR
"Faith over Fear" is a long-form documentary following the RB Leipzig professional and German international Benjamin Henrichs through his rehabilitation after an Achilles tendon rupture. Over the course of a year, the project stayed close to his recovery journey — physically, emotionally, and personally — to reveal the person behind the professional facade.
The result was a seven-part documentary series exploring key parts of his life and comeback. In collaboration with Sky Sports Germany, the material also became a 45-minute documentary that aired repeatedly in prime broadcast slots. Alongside extensive interviews with Benjamin himself, the project includes voices from family and figures from his sporting environment — combined with intimate real-life moments from his day-to-day rehab process.

The aim of the project was to tell a football story from a more human and vulnerable perspective — not only focused on performance and return, but on faith, pressure and resilience. At its core, the documentary set out to make visible what usually remains hidden in professional sport: the physical and psychological struggle behind a serious injury and the long road back.
A key ambition was to create a level of closeness and honesty. Working with a very small team across production and post-production made that trust-based approach possible and allowed the project to stay personal and emotionally credible throughout. The goal was not just to document a comeback, but to create a portrait that felt intimate and authentic.
